Open18, HH Art Spaces, Goa, India, 2018

Sinking Bubbles, an installation within the 18th century Portugese villa of HH Art Spaces, for 'Open18' after an artist residency. The site-specific wall drawing stemmed from an interest in the decorative yet protective nature of the Art Deco steel grills of windows and gates, studied while living in the area for 3-months. Further research into myths and language of various cultures that intertwine associations and symbolism of women and birds informed the drawings and paintings.
